EV Charging — Now on Fuel Nearby

Electric car drivers can now use FuelNearby to find public chargers across the UK, see colour-coded charging speeds, compare kWh prices where they’re published, and plan the same way you already do for petrol and diesel.
The same map you trust — now built for electric miles
If you already use FuelNearby to compare petrol and diesel before you fill up, you know the drill: one map, live prices, no guesswork. Today we’re extending that idea to electric vehicles.
EV charging is now on Fuel Nearby. Switch the map to EV charging, explore hundreds of cities and towns on dedicated pages, and see at a glance how fast a charger is likely to be — before you detour.
See chargers before you drive
The hero image above shows what this looks like in practice: public chargers around the West Midlands, each with a plug icon and a colour-coded kW pill so you can tell destination charging from rapid or ultra-rapid without decoding a spreadsheet.
On the map, every public charging location gets a clear pin with a small speed badge showing maximum power in kW (for example 7 kW, 50 kW, 150 kW or ultra-rapid figures in the hundreds). The badge changes colour by speed band so you can spot a slow overnight charger versus a quick top-up without opening a dozen apps.
Whether you’re commuting, planning a motorway stop, or comparing airport options, density on the map tells its own story: where charging is easy to find — and where it pays to plan ahead.
Prices per kWh, when they’re available
Where operators publish a tariff, we show electricity in pence per kWh so you can compare like you do for pence per litre. Not every site lists a price publicly; where it’s missing, you can still use the map for location, operator, and power — then confirm the final rate in your usual charging app or RFID before you plug in.
Location pages for the whole UK
We’ve added EV charging by location — the same city, town, and airport coverage you know from our fuel price pages, but for chargers: summary stats, nearby chargers, and an embedded map already centred on your area. Handy for “what’s near me?” searches and for sharing a link with a friend who drives electric.
Petrol and diesel aren’t going away on FuelNearby — they’re one tap away. We’re simply giving EV drivers the same straightforward experience: open the map, see what matters, go.
How to try it
